Five Tips to get Kids Reading

Five Tips to get Kids Reading.

Some really straightforward tips from Sarah at Kip McGrath Tonbridge.

I really like point 3, the impact for children seeing their parents read is huge, especially for boys seeing their dad’s reading.

Our two children have grown up surrounded by books and are avid readers.

Hannah at 11 has been a fluent reader and tends to have 2 or 3 stories on the go at once.Alex, now 6, has become a free reader, we can’t stop him reading. He puts us in a moral dilemma, do you tell him off for not going to sleep because he reads? It’s lovely to pause at the bottom of the stairs and hear him read out loud.
